Fr. Gabriel aimed at promoting the handicrafts of Kerala to the world along with the dreams of the villagers who were working on it. With the aim of empowering the people of Nedumangad from poverty and making them self-sufficient, he started many activities. In the early stages, production of various products using bamboo and sandalwood and candle making was also done. Brother Tom, from Australia, gave them training to make handmade Greeting Card. Around 200 designs of cards are available here and about 25 people work here now.
